NEW YORK FASHION WEEK GALA

FÊTE des RÊVES

Style Brief

Step into a page from 1001 nights, for a celebration that promises AN EXOTIC romance.

The Knot magazine enlisted us to orchestrate the industry's grandest gala, hosting 1,200 guests at the New York Public Library to mark the close of NY Bridal Fashion Week (and celebrate the magazine's 20th anniversary.) Some of the notable attendees included Mark Badgley James Mischka (of Badgley Mischka), Robert Herjavec (of Shark Tank), Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell (of CBS' The Bachelor), the Jonas Brothers, and Randy Fenoli (of Say Yes to the Dress.)  We dreamt up the theme “Fête des Rêves” (translating to "party of dreams"), aiming to evoke the charm of Paris's Tuileries Garden in summer, replete with whimsical carnival elements. For the first time, the library's iconic façade was transformed with video mapping to animate Ceci New York's floral invitation. The entrance led guests through a topiary-lined path lit by candelabras and serenaded by a violinist in a sweeping 30 ft. ballgown. Highlights inside included a carousel band stage surrounded by towering, blossom-filled trees and hundreds of paper butterflies. The event also featured stilt walkers, ballerinas, and aerialists performing above a champagne bar in a silent disco/tasting area styled like a Parisian promenade. The evening concluded with a special pop-up by Ladurée, adding a quintessential French touch.
