MARY & PAUL
Style Brief
As summer gave way to fall, a moody garden setting was set against the gothic backdrop of The National Cathedral.
An enchanted evening as summer faded to fall at the iconic Washington National Cathedral. We drew inspiration from a moonlit garden setting combined with the awe-inspiring gothic architecture of the cathedral itself. After a mass in the Great Choir, guests enjoyed an alfresco cocktail hour in the beautiful courtyard, followed by dinner and dancing in the Great Hall. It's safe to say this space was totally transformed for what it typically looks like for Sunday services and Presidential visits. A large, central "garden bar" with thousands of blooms and romantic candlelight made the cavernous space feel a bit more intimate. The layout lent itself to the beautiful bar being the central hub for the evening and achieving the festive party vibe the client desired.
